Portland's Parking Zone K is a resident initiated area parking permit program established in 1999. The boundaries of Zone K extend from W. Burnside to the south, NW Northrup to the north, NW 16th to the east and the east side of NW 18th to the west.

ZONE K ON-STREET SPACE INVENTORY AND SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENTS

From March through June of 2017, the Zone K Committee completed a survey of on-street parking spaces. During this process, a list of suggested improvements was generated. Specifically the items on this list are intended to maximize on-street resources, correct historical aberrations, and change time stays to better fit the needs of the current Zone K permit holders. REQUESTS FOR EXCEPTIONS TO SCRATCH OFF PERMIT LIMITS

SCRATCH OFF PERMITS LIMITS

The results of the October 2014 survey showed a desire to control the amount of single day scratch off permits available for purchase to any Zone K resident or business. The Zone K Committee consulted the City of Portland Bureau of Transportation to establish a limit of 50 permits per year (5 books of 10 each). SEPTEMBER 2011
NORTHWEST DISTRICT PARKING PLAN

In 2009 the City of Portland began work on a comprehensive Northwest District Parking Plan. The plan was approved by Portland City Council in the fall of 2012. This parking plan shows Zone K to remain unchanged and separate from the district-wide plan.
